Investment Learning Programs Starting Early 2026

We're planning something different for people who want to understand money beyond the usual advice. Not quick fixes or magic formulas—just practical approaches to building better investment habits over time.

Our courses focus on the mindset shifts that actually matter. The kind that help you make decisions without second-guessing yourself constantly. And yeah, that takes longer than a weekend seminar, but it tends to stick.

Classes begin in February and March 2026. Small groups, real conversations, and enough time to practice what you're learning before life gets in the way.

Course Schedule Through Spring 2026

Each program runs for eight weeks with weekly sessions. We've spaced them out so you can actually absorb the material instead of cramming everything at once.

1
February 10 - April 7, 2026

Foundations of Personal Investment Strategy

This one's for people starting from scratch or wanting to rebuild their approach. We cover risk tolerance, asset allocation basics, and how to think about long-term goals without the financial jargon that makes everything sound more complicated than it needs to be.

2
February 24 - April 21, 2026

Behavioral Finance and Decision Making

Here's where it gets interesting. Why do smart people make predictable mistakes with money? We dig into the psychology behind investment choices—the biases, the emotional patterns, the things that trip up even experienced investors during market volatility.

3
March 9 - May 4, 2026

Portfolio Construction for Canadian Investors

Canadian tax considerations, RRSP versus TFSA strategies, currency exposure—all the specific stuff that matters when you're investing from Penticton or anywhere else in BC. We use real portfolio examples and work through scenarios you'll actually encounter.

4
March 23 - May 18, 2026

Advanced Topics in Market Analysis

For folks who've been investing for a while and want to sharpen their analytical skills. We explore different frameworks for evaluating opportunities, discuss common analytical pitfalls, and practice adapting strategies when market conditions shift unexpectedly.

5
April 6 - June 1, 2026

Retirement Planning and Income Strategies

Most retirement advice assumes you'll follow a neat timeline. But life doesn't work that way. This course addresses the messier reality—phased retirement, multiple income streams, adjusting plans when circumstances change, and maintaining flexibility as you age.

Learning Format That Works

We keep class sizes under twenty people. That's small enough for real discussions but large enough to get diverse perspectives when someone asks a tough question.

Sessions run ninety minutes, usually in the evening so people with day jobs can attend. Recordings are available if you miss one, though the live discussions tend to be more valuable.

Between sessions, you'll have readings and exercises. Nothing overwhelming—maybe two hours of work per week—but enough to keep the concepts fresh.

After the Course Ends

The material stays available for a full year. People often tell us they get more from reviewing recordings the second time around, once they've started applying the concepts.

You'll also get access to our quarterly update sessions where we discuss how market changes might affect the strategies covered in the courses. Optional, but about half our graduates show up regularly.
